Recipe For Pet Dogs With Hamburger, Rice, Eggs, And Vegetables

Making your pet dog a healthy homemade meal will not only make him happy, but it’ll also make you happy too when you see how easy it is. Pet dogs can eat many of the same foods that people can if the farmer’s dog pet food is prepared correctly. Substituting your pet dog’s regular kibble with an occasional homemade meal makes an excellent healthy, nutritious treat for your canine companion.

Ground Hamburger

Ground hamburger is an ideal source of protein for homemade pet dog food. Extra-lean ground beef, which has 10% or less fat content, is the best option. Dogs can develop an infection of their pancreas called pancreatitis if they overeat fat at once, so extra-lean minced beef is essential.

Brown Rice

A starchy carbohydrate, rice, can be added to homemade dog pet food to add bulk to your pet’s food and energy. Plain brown rice is an excellent source of carbohydrates for a dog’s energy and fiber for digestive health. Rice is gentle on a dog’s stomach; if your puppy is sensitive to common kibble ingredients like corn, wheat, soy, and rice is the right carbohydrate choice.

Vegetables

In accumulation to meat, rice, and eggs, you can also add various healthy vegetables to your dog’s pet homemade food. Vegetables provide vital vitamins, minerals, and lots of fiber. Select from cooked green beans, kale, carrots, cauliflower, spinach, broccoli, or other of your dog’s favorite vegetables. Do not include garlic and onion, however, as these are poisonous to dogs.

Eggs

Eggs are the best source of protein and fat-soluble vitamins and minerals. Some farmer’s dogs even like to eat the eggshells as they comprise ample amounts of bone-building calcium. If you need to add eggshells to your farmer’s dog pet food, grind them in a food processor first to create them into a powder.

Preparation and Serving

Brown 1 pound ground beef in a large pan, cook until it’s ready thoroughly. When the beef meat is done, drain off any extra fat from the beef meat and discard it. Then add 2 cups of each cooked brown rice and boiled vegetables into the beef, keep the pan over low heat. After mixing, break two eggs into the food, stir, ensure that it coated the meat and rice with eggs. Cook the mixture carefully until the eggs harden and cook thoroughly.

Allow the food to cool down slightly before serving it to your farmer pet dog; so it does not burn his mouth. The dog food can serve as it is, or you can also mix it in with your dog’s kibble. If you are serving the food to your pet dog’s kibble, be sure to reduce the quantity of kibble he eats for the day. The amount of homemade food your pet dog should eat depends on the weight and condition. Though, 1/2 cup per 10 pounds of the body-weight is a basic rule.

If you make more than your puppy can eat that day, store the remaining in an airtight bowl for up to 1-2 weeks in the fridge. You can also freeze the food in a freezer bag or airtight container to extend shelf life.
